PINE BUSH – "This year the Survivor Lap is going to be special," says Donna Henke of the Pine Bush Relay for Life.

"And it will be right after the opening ceremonies, at 3:15 p.m. I'm trying to make sure everyone knows that, because the Cancer Society got it wrong and put it in a mailing to the survivors."

So — if you know a survivor who is planning on taking part, make sure they know the correct time!

"We have some extra things for the survivors this year and part of that is because we got a nice donation from Crystal Run Healthcare."

Henke adds "And don't forget the Cancer Prevention Study. That will be in the tent in the middle of the track and will run from 4:30 to 8:30.

"You don't have to be in a team to celebrate the Relay for Life. Everyone should drop by at some point to enjoy this event. Our entertainment starts at 2 p.m. with the Pine Bush Percussion Ensemble and there will be bands playing all evening, as well as our DJ."
