PINE BUSH – It was a very lively scene at Family Scoops on Thursday evening, August 27. The Republican candidates for this November's elections were there for ice cream and a chance to meet the voters.
They weren't alone. Casey the Mini-Horse was there, making friends with a new generation of kids. Domanie Ragni of the Boys & Girls Club was there, getting out the word. The Pine Bush high school football team dropped in, straight from practice, while in the bouncy house, provided by Space Walk of the Hudson Valley, there was enough juvenile energy to power a space rocket.
Bryan Kulak, running for reelection as town justice, said, "It's a great evening; we're giving out pens and badges."
Judge Kulak already has the hamlet of Pine Bush well covered with signs.
"This is a great opportunity to meet people and get out our message," said Jane Harrington, the other candidate endorsed by the Town of Crawford Republicans.
Afterwards, Kelly Eskew, Chair of the Crawford Republican Party, said, "What a great night. We collected a lot of school supplies that will be donated to the Pine Bush School District. On top of that, I think everyone had a great time. It was an opportunity for voters to meet the town's elected officials, and of course, to talk to our candidates for the elections."
