Today I cry a single tear, like a river into an ocean for the Kennedy's Joe John, Bobby and Ted.
For the Kings of Camelot, for the last is Dead. This Blessed family for the past eighty years fought Wars, Personal Tragedies and all this for the worlds jeers, but today i cry this single tear, for the Last, for the Lion and for America this year. Many are the children of the Great Kennedy Kings, and with the Queens of Camelot, Glory we shall sing..
Glory be to God and glory be to Him. Glory be to Camelot, for this, the last king we send, Glory glory be to this American story, so rest in peace dear brother and friend, Great Lion of the senate and bless be the name Kennedy like a tear that forms a river to an ocean that never Ends and from their ocean of children New Kings shall arise, but today we cry for the Lion has Died..
These last words I say to us all, remember this man as a lion - a king who stood Tall, from the senate house floor, as he walked the senate hall, he reached across the aisle for the good of us all, yes! For we the people from shore to shinning shore. For the poor, the disabled, the elderly and Vets, and the riches of his pockets he gave with no regret. God bless this man this American, the last camelot king, God bless America as we cry with his Queens and in the bosoms of God the Lion falls to sleep. Joining brothers and sisters for we all are like sheep, when the glory calls us home, we go in a peep..
Finally as i sit here i watch on the tube an American prince say Goodnight goodnight father sleep tight and i cry a single Tear for a Family for a Country for this Lion of Camelot who we all didn't agree Edward M Kennedy we did all believe. That all he did, he did believe that what ever he did it was for the good of America or at lease the best for you and me..
Remember for the lord said,"Rise and be a King amongst men, for you are all kings in the eyes of the Lord." From the King of Kings Jesus Christ. For a King is a Man who stands up with a willing heart for the rights of the people. My friends Ted Kennedy as is Brothers did before him always stood for the people even if for some of us was too far to the left..
For the lord said be your brothers keeper, But he didn't mean let the brothers in caesar's house be your keeper. He said with your charitable Heart keep your brother, for if he is hungry feed him, if he is cold, cloth him, for we are all Kings and with our charitable hearts we must help our brothers that have fallen off their throne..
And we the last americans Honor Ted Kennedy as a last American not for policies but for his Humanity and his love for we the people. Thank You!.

We've Heard It All Before In Mamakating
In the recent letter by non-Mamakating resident Diane Holzapfel she admits that she had a seasonal, low paying job. If you had attended the hearings on the Kohl's project in 2001 you would know the same players introduced the Yukiguni Maitake project (Attorney Charles Badyzlo, Chazen Engineering, and Sullivan County Partnership leader, Mike Sullivan.) They touted the same script good paying jobs, around 900 to be exact, reduced taxes, will boost the local Wurtsboro economy, etc.
The 900 jobs are not there (at most 400), the amount of tax money paid is substantially less because it is based on the number of full time employees. And there are more empty store fronts in Wurtsboro since Kohl's opened. Where has it benefited Mamakating it is not our responsibility to provide employment for Sullivan, Ulster, and Orange County at the expense of the things we hold precious.
If you attended any planning board meetings on this project you would know the union workers and Sullivan County Partnership people only show up at critical decision making to cast their two cents. And at the July 15 NYS Department of Environmental Conservation hearing they were there again along with one, I say one, lone Town resident speaking for the project.
There are many issues concerning this project and providing detailed, timely, accurate information etc. has been a concern of the many residents who have scrutinized this project. Getting the Yukiguni team to provide all the information has been like pulling a bad tooth - agonizing, difficult and painful.
And lets not forget the new proposal by Yukiguni cuts in half the number of jobs and likely the tax benefits, in essence, we give up a lot for a project that many don't want only the non-Mamkating residents and union workers who once they are finished could care less about our Town.
