Hazardous Plans for Local Superfund Site

ELLENVILLE – Representatives of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) came to the Village of Ellenville last Wednesday, August 18, in order to outline potential plans to clean up the toxic site at the former Ellenville Scrap Iron and Metal — and to solicit input from the public about the proposed plans.

Approximately two dozen people attended the session, which was held at the Ellenville Government Center, where they watched a PowerPoint presentation given by EPA Project Manager Damian Duda.   > MORE
