Every year, the Thanksgiving holiday is a time to visit with family and friends, share the bounty of the summer’s harvest, and think about those things we are grateful for. The staff at Manor Ink decided to share with readers their gratitude for the things in their lives that have made and are making a difference. Here’s what they had to say.

Jameson Barrera, 14, reporter: I’m thankful for my family for two reasons. First, they are amazing cooks. And second, my parents are very loving and caring and supportive of everything I do.

Savannah Chaboty, 16, social media editor: I am very thankful for everyone in my life who has helped me succeed and become a better person. The most important people to me are my parents, my brother Wyatt, and my best friend Zoey. My family is always supportive and kind, and Zoey is the most wonderful person I know.

Aidan Dusenbury-Dalto, 15, reporter: This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for my family, friends and pets. I am also thankful for the upcoming snow season, because my family and I love to ski and snowboard. I am thankful for my current physical health. I am thankful for recognizing and appreciating the small, everyday joys and happiness in life.

Jack Dusenbury-Dalto, 15, reporter: This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family and friends because of how supportive they are of me. I am also thankful for my employer who has kept me on through an ownership change, and for being able to be socially active in our town because of that.

Zoey McGee, 16, editor-in-chief: I am thankful for many things, but most importantly, the people who make my life so great. Firstly, Savannah, my best friend for over 11 years, who has the unique ability to make me smile and laugh in any situation. Then, my parents: my dad, for his unwavering trustworthiness and the invaluable life lessons he’s taught me, and my mom, for her hard work and unwavering support, which have given me so many great things. Lastly, I am thankful for Mrs. Chaboty for being like a second mother to me, my grandma for inspiring me at such a young age with her creativity and for being the best board game buddy a kid could ask for, and my grandpa for always helping me whenever I need it, and his complete honesty, though some may say it is brutal. I love all of these people so much.

Mason Roberts, 12, reporter: I am very thankful for the things I have. I am thankful for my loving family, my dog and I'm happy to have a roof over my head. I am grateful for my family all being great cooks. I thank Manor Ink for the chance to be a reporter.

Adriana Serafino, 15, reporter: This Thanksgiving, I am most thankful for all of the great memories I had this year at Manor Ink. There are so many wonderful memories at Manor Ink meetings and interviewing local artists that have inspired me to keep creating my own artwork. I learned about carving sculptures from tree trunks, street photography, illustrations, dance and many more.

James Sherwood, 14, reporter: This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my amazing family members who have helped me learn and achieve my goals over the years. This Thanksgiving I am also thankful for the friends I have made throughout the year.

Erick Slattery, 14, reporter: I am grateful for my cats and my amazing friends. I value my cats because they always have the ability to lift my spirits from any low point. I cherish my friends because no matter what, they have always been able to hold me up, whenever I feel like everything is unbearable.

Ethan Sprouse, 13, reporter: I am thankful for my phone as it allows me to do work, connect with my family and friends.

Rachel Zuckerman, 14, reporter: I am grateful for my parents who have done everything in their willpower to raise me and my siblings. My dad for providing, cooking and loving us like there’s no tomorrow, and my mom for being our supporter and the person who is always there. Also my dogs, Snoopy and Woodstock, for being the most funniest beings on earth.
